Thanks in advanced.

Apparently this isn't a very popular projector :(
I cant find any information anywhere, so at this point I was wondering if any of you guru's out there could at least give me some advice on next steps?

First I have to mention that my neo can learn other functions of the remote without a problem, just the on/off is killing me (of course the only feature I really need to use).

I have tried it in the dark. I have tried it repeatedly, noticing some posts that mention that sometimes it just has trouble and if you do it over and over it will eventually work... but it doesnt :(

are there any other quirks or tips that I missed in the forum? btw the vendor has not even answered my question in email.

This dam projector is the only thing stopping me from survival with a single remote control! help me before I go insane? :)

Well, I looked at the Pronto files and there isn't a listing at all for "Benq" So I have no clue, is this a newer Projector? Maybe it uses IR codes from another brand, as I have seen that before.

What you can do? Well, hard to say, if you have X10, use a X10 outlet maybe. Is it possible to feed the projector off a switched amp outlet, through the power might not be enough on the amp.

Other then that, load up all the Projector power buttons you can and try them :)

thanks steve, x10 won't work with this because there is a soft on/off. anyways I just got a response (bad news) from the vendor. I have no clue what they are saying here maybe someone can explain to me what exactly this means.

from support:
Currently, our remote control do not have 3 code address the universal
remote control recognizes.

anyone care to explain what this means? I need closure before I give up LOL. BTW if this helps I believe BenQ was formerly ACER. of course I found nothing on Acer either...
