I know the subject sounds awfully broad, especially given all the problems listed on this site BUT perhaps here is a new one?

I have created macros containing IR codes, delays, and links. The specific macro in question was proved out and worked on a previous version of my ncf. Since then I updated the file (yes I made sure the links were secure and undisturbed). Anyway, upon re-downloading the new version and trying it out, some of the functions/actions were dropped. I checked the file and they were still listed under actions in the buttons properties but the action did not take place physically. I checked the buttons they were linked to and they still worked. I then downloaded the old version and it now did the same thing but with a different action on the same macro. What's upw with that?

I also noticed that if I go into neoHacker (ocurrences above only involved use of NeoEdit), and then download via NeoEdit (all latest versions from this site), my DishNetwork normal IR codes for the directional hard buttons no longer work. I need to delete the actions and re-enter them from the 1032 codeset (i.e. replce them with the same ones).

Anyone experience anything remotely similar?

I am calling philips to discuss. I read that older RU930 had had problems (the typical listed here regarding learning, etc). They recommended replacement with a newer one as the chipset was upgraded in later productioon units. My Neo has a model number TSU500/01. Does /01 mean first production run?

Do you have another backup of your org. NCF file?

Sounds like something became correpted in the ncf file when you DL to the software. Also, have you installed any apps that use the com ports? Battery's in good shape on the remote?

Thanks for the reply Steve.

My batteries are fine. I do have a backup of the old version ( a backup of the back up...hmmm....can you tell I'm paranoid?). I'll try the backup tonight. I was also thinking of reverting on the neo prior to down load. As for the com port, I wasn't sharing but I did have an ethernet card going with my cable modem. I'll shut that off just in case. Any other thoughts or comments? Thanks again.

Mich
