Is it possible to use hex codes w/ the 900? If
so, how do you use them w/ the software?
In these forums "hex codes" typically means "Pronto Hex" and I think Loraquest's reply assumes that. But "hex codes" is often used to mean the form most manufacturers publish when documenting their IR signals, which is not Pronto Hex.
For either the only way I know to bring them in is from .ccf by Universal Browser as Loraquest said.
If you can't find the codes already in a .ccf file, you could download ProntoEdit (free, but a big download and somewhat messy install and learning curve) to paste in Pronto Hex to a new .ccf file.
But if you aren't already using ProntoEdit, you're probably better off using IrPanels instead. You may also want to use MakeHex to generate clean Pronto Hex for IrPanels, especially if you're starting from some "hex codes" that aren't Pronto Hex or aren't the basic subset of Pronto Hex that Universal Browser understands.
