Good afternoon. I'm searching for a remote that will help me operate my home theater system and effectively as possible. Tried the Harmony 880 and am not overly thrilled with it.

Here are my components:

Panasonic HDTV
Toshiba DVD Recorder
Toshiba HD DVD
Comcast Dual Tuner HD DVR
Mitsubishi VCR
Sony DVD MegaChanger
Pioneer Elite A/V Reciever
Xbox 360

Will the 500 effectively operate my setup or is there a better remote option available for me.

Thanks for the help and input.

The MX-500 works great if you have some method of getting discrete codes into it. That unfortunately usually requires another remote, unless you are lucky & all your equipment's OEM remotes have all the discretes you need. Either the Harmony if you still have it, or a cheap OneForAll maybe needing a JP1 mod.

What are your main complaints about the 880? Perhaps a different URC or Harmony model is the answer, depends what you are looking for.
