I did a search but i didnt find an option for an upgraded battery replacement for my MX3000. Is the standard one from URC the only choice?

You must call URC Directly - I recently did.
Make sure that you ask for the battery with the correct terminal - my MX 3000 is the earliest version (maybe the first 50 sold) - when I got the battery from URC I found the terminal was too big.
URC did send me a replacement for no charge by UPS second day promptly.
