I know this may be simple, but I have to ask anyway.......I need to run IR that I have from a Xantech Keypad sending IR into a Niles MSU 140 over to a MRF300 ......there is a conflicting issue though

Setup includes Xantech Keypad upstairs connected to MSU140 downstairs with a Yahmaha receiver and (was connected) Sony DVD player being used as a CD player.....recently added a motorola cable box

Surround sound system downstairs recently instaled has Denon receiver, denon DVD player and uses the same CD player(DVD player) and another Motorola Cable box......I want the IR from the Xantech keypad to control the Sony DVD player( that I use as a CD player)...

I know I can run an emitter out of the MSU 140 into the IR in of the MRF300 I can control the Sony DVD player and Im ok there, but I will also have an issue with conflicting Motorola codes since all command fed into the 140 will continue to the 300, thus changing both cable boxes at one time....

What can I do, Im trying to figure this out as I post, but since its been a 13 hour day Im fried, and tired.....

I could just run a second emitter to the Sony DVD(used as CD) and have the ugly emitter on the front, from the MSU140. Problem solved, but is there a better way.

Maybe I could run the DVD player off the Niles MSU140 output then run an IR from the zoned flasher #6 of the 300 to 140......well I could switch it to a MSU250 with dual inputs(thats the only extra part I have)......Therefore I would keep the motorola codes from bleeding....

I think I solved it......but am I forgetting anything....

Thats good...ask yourself a question...then answer it back. and then comment on a great job you did

do you talk to youself during the day and answer back too??? Just kidding

Did you solve the problem and get it all working??
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
