First post here after lurking constantly to gain tips about my MX850 and usage. Thanks to all the pro's for giving us idiot users advice and guidance.

I have some IR controlled curtains, and I "learned" the IR codes into my MX850 with no issues. I'm quite the pro at that by now, having done it multiple times for other devices.

But, these dang IR curtains & remote. When I "learn" it, it doesn't seem to work. I've tried testing it to no avail.

Is there some way I can read the actual IR codes that the MX850 is using to xmit, to confirm that it's the same?

I have an IRMan on the shelf, I could pull that out to see what it reports, but I was hoping there was some native way of doing this.

What information do you have on the curtain control (ie: brand, iR frequency etc.)? It may just be an unlearnable frequency, but there may be codes available in the Files section or elsewhere.

What type of shades do you have? If they are lutron you can get the pronto hex off of their site and convert that to your mx850 the usual roundabout way to see if that works.

Not sure about the brand name, they're certainly not Lutron or anything super-nice. This is the link, they were only $130, but they're pretty decent for the price.

It seemed to learn ok - the editor reported learning-good.

I'll contact tech-home and see who the manufacturer is, but they seem pretty dang generic so i doubt most folks have heard of them.

Thanks for the replies.

From the Tech-Home website, here's the manufacturer's website: http://www.remotecontrolcurtain.com/

You might want to give them a call.
