I'm trying to find the On/Off Zone 2 code for this peice?
I've tried downloading the pre-selected ones from the MX-900 program and they do not work.

Any help is appriciated!

Audio device code should be 437 for the 2300 and it works for me. The commands are P2ON and P2OFF.

Do you have the dial on the front of the avr (i think it says record out zone 2) set to "source/remote"?

Do you have the remote setup properly for outputting IR or RF as needed for this device?

its set to code # 437

i did change the text on it, to display "Z2-ON & Z2-OFF"

would that alter the code?

Yep, there is an error on Z2 power there. Same problem last week. I learned codes from the Z2/3 remote on a 2600 receiver so now I'm set for the next one.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

As Tom suggests, the Yamaha remotes have a feature that allows them to transmit many IR codes that are not included as buttons. Therefore, you can learn almost any command. The following links are useful:
