Since i did the latest Software update, I cant seem to get diplay to turn off on the craddle. The back light turns off. But i can still see the text on the screen. How do i set the screen to fully turn off? It will turn off when off the craddle. But it honestly looks ugly sitting on the craddle with the screen off but text still viewable.
Please help

I see this too. It doesn't bother me really, but I presume it uses more power when it has content displaed on the screen. I wonder if, even when in the cradle, the battery is powering the screen, and thus wearing out the battery over time? Either way, the mx-950 is a great replacement for my old mx-1000 (thanks Bill!)

Seriously, how does the lcd staying on but not backlit in the cradle cause this much aesthetic concern? I can understand if they are worried about lcd lifespan but that's not the case at all is it? This just baffles me. I'd say if this is the biggest complaint about the install you are doing a stellar job.

Have you tried uplugging the battery, waiting a minute, and then plugging it back in? That worked for my MX3000 when it stayed lit in the cradle......
