New user question:

I'd like to add my Dish NW DVR-626 to my Ir Db. This DVR is a popular unit and has been out for a year but it's not among the standard choices within the program.

Any words of advice any one?

Use and earlier model that is in the database, it will likely work just fine or learn the functions manually.

Thanks. That's certainly plan B!

Rather than try the couple of dozen (I think) other models....

Is there anyone else out there with a 625? What have you done?

BTW... If this is to basic a question or if the answer is somewhere here please point me to it! I did to a search and couldn't find a solution.

Again, thanks to anyone who might be able to help.

As a follow-on, I've located a .ccf file that seems to control the 625. I can open it with the universal browers but can't figure out how to extract the key programming. If I'm on the right track, can someone fill me in? The MX-3000 SW manual references a seemingly obsolete menu option of Tools--> Personal CCF gallery which seems like what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, this option doesn't appear in my version of the SW 1.20.153.

Again, any pointers?

TIA

1. Create your control pages in the 3000 graphically as desired for your 625.

2. Open the universal browser.

3. Select a page from the "Tree View" window and then a function (button) from the "Panel View" window.

4. Select the corresponding function (button) on the 3000 and set its "IR Data" field by dragging the appropriate function from the "Action List" window of the browser to it.

5. Repeat the process for all functions you wish to import from the U. Browser.

That should do it.

What he is saying, is try ANY of those models. They are all the same code, 311,811,922.... whatever. All code SAT122. You probably just need to set the 625 to IR address 01. Dishnetwork/Echostar have been using the same codes for years. I would say that it's worth a try considering all of the time you will save if it works. Easier than learning all those codes.
