I'm in the process of trying to learn a graphics editing program to make and edit buttons, backgrounds, ect.. for my MX3000. The program I'm using is Corel Draw. Say I create a simple Button for "ON." Just a simple circle with a solid boarder and a radial fill from green to white with the word ON in the center. When I export my button from Corel Draw to a folder, and then try importing it in the MX3K software, the button shows up with white around it. The button is exactly how I thought it would look but there is like a white area behind it that forms a square. I just want the button to show up as a circle. It only happens with buttons that arent square. Any know if this is a "transparency" setting Im missing? As i said, Im not a pro at using Corel Draw but I have more expirence with it that anything else. For a button like i described, should it make a difference what kind of file I export it as. As long as it BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG. Any Corel Draw people out there who wanna reply I will probably have some more questions in the near future. BTW, this site rocks!! -Thanks, Brian

You need to use the *.png format and set the background to transparent. Don't know Corel Draw, so can't help you there.

Like Dino said, you need to use PNG files. Those allow for a transparency. I believe you can even make buttons "see through".

Thank you,
