I need help getting the remote (MX850) to send an IR command for more than a split second. I've done about 30 searches to no avail, looked through the 75 page manual and Googled it, so I'm sorry if you guys have talked about this at nausium.

I used to have the 200 & I know there was a way to program it in with the old remote based programming, I have to assume the 850 can handle it.

I'm having no problem setting up the devices, buttons and macros, but I can't seem to get this thing to work my receiver. I have an older Philips which requires me to hold down a button to switch devices. i.e... I have to hold down the DVD button to get the receiver to switch to the DVD input.. about .5 second. If in stand by, it will turn the unit on to that input by holding it down. I'm sure there is a thread on here with exactly the information I need, but I can't seem to find it.

I would love any help... and is there still a 'remote based' programming available on the 850?.. Hold down Main and OK I think was what worked on the 200, I haven't been able to figure it out on the 850.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure there is a way to extend the duration (someone correct me if I am wrong.)

Have you tried to create a macro with the same Philips button repeating several times without pauses?

Yes. That doesn't seem to do it. I remember on the 200, I'm pretty sure you could actually tell it how long to send the signal... is that not an option?

The only remotes (at least that I'm aware of) to allow you to adjust the duration of the IR command is the MX-900 and up, using the IR Database Navigator. With that, you can increase the code repeat per button press.

Thank you,
