I have a MX 850 Aeros (serial# KA07 122205 082575)
Firmware:
MX-850 ver 1.04 / April 28, 2005
Universal data:
Version 1.75 / March 31, 2006

I also have a MRF-250 (serial #KR022806 072943) base station. I got both of these about a month ago, and I absolutely love them! I have most of my components loaded with discreets, FAVs, and macros-- and all seem to work great. I interface with my PC running Windows XP via the serial plug. Again, everything seems to work great-- even the RF from the patio to the base station!
However when I am doing a full download to the remote I get the following message on the remote’s screen during the testing mode:
LCD GOOD!
RAM GOOD!
IROUT FAIL!
IRAMP FAIL!
LIGHT SKIP!

What exactly do these mean, and are the fails something to worry about?

Thanks for any input, and great job URC for making such a great product that is so easy to program and use!

This question comes up once a month it seems. Basically, there's nothing to worry about as the IROUT and IRAMP fails are common. If you had the remote set up to transmit only IR, you wouldn't get those messages.

Thanks so much. I looked for a thread that might talk about this, but was unable to find one. I had a feeling since everything was working so well that it wasn't too much to worry about. Thanks for easing my anxieties.
