I have been searching around the forums for a while and haven't come across any solution to my problem. Anywho just picked up a universal R5 for 30 bucks tonight took it home and set it up for everything fine except my sharp xr-10 projector. I have no idea what the problem is. I tried all the sharp remote codes and 2 actually responded while the projector was one allowing me to shut it off but not to turn it back on... wierd. So I tried to just learn all of the projectors buttons onto my remote like I had done earlier with my xbox 360. No go. It looks as if everything transfers fine from one remote to the other but when I try to turn it on or use any of the keys I learned nothing responds. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the projector or something to do with an incompatibility of the IR signal (which I don't think it would be if it allows me to turn it off once but not back on) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why are you using a cheap kitchen remote in a nice home theater? You are doing youself an injustice. You would be much better off with something else, such as an MX-850. I'm not suggesting you spend a ton of money for the heck ot if, but that you use the right (or more appropriate) tool for the job. :)

Thank you,
