Just started fiddling with the MX3000 software a few days ago. I want to create text on a page without using a separate graphics program. I BELIEVE (not sure) that I was able, a few days ago, to create a button, add text to the button, and then make the button invisible but with the text still visible. I have been unable to do it again. Kind of like those who tried to duplicate the early cold fusion experiments!!??

Anyway, is there a way I can do it? Or is there an easier way to create text on a page?

Thanks

Just create a button 320x240 and enter your text (right click on empty page, select add button, drag the sides of the button to fill the page). Button color can be changed.
If you want a transparent button (text only shows) you'll need to create a gif image.

Hiker,

Thanks for the tip, BUT, I'm unable to change the size of the button to 320x240. I right click on the empty page and select add button. But when I try to change the size of the button from the default size of 100x30 to 320x240, it immediately changes back to the default size. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks a million.

actually, if you want transparent in the color selection menu for your button you can check "is hidden" and it'll be transparent.

Tried that, but the "is hidden" box is 'grayed out' and cannot be checked. Do you have some special trick for doing it?

Thanks,

Once again I feel like an idiot. Got it to work. You have to check the Hidden box in 'images' (rather than 'text'), THEN you type your text. Very neat trick. It's what I had done earlier (see my first post in this thread) but had been unable to duplicate. Thanks a million for sharing it.
