I've recently programmed about 90% of my new MX-850 but a few features have got me stumped. I want to punch through all cable device commands when on the FAV pages. Apparently FAV remembers the last input device which doesn't always happen to be cable. I read one post which stated that a good programmer will always punch through cable to FAV using shortcuts? I can't seem to figure this out.

Also, I created power on/off macros using discretes.. Motorola STB has no power discretes so I'll always leave this on.. but when on FAV the power off macro turns my STB off. Do I always have to switch to Main before using the power off macro? Thanks.

The tricky thing about the FAV page is that the hard buttons retain the function of the device you were on before going to the fav page. (i.e. if you are on the cable page and press FAV all the hard buttons retain the cable function, if you sere on SAT all the hard buttons retain SAT functions)

When you leave cable and go to FAV and press ON or OFF it operates the STB. You can't put shortcuts or commands on any hard buttons on the FAV page.
