Replaced my 700 with a new 850. Was able to move over my config just fine. I just added a Motorlla 6412 Cable/DVR box so I downloaded a mxf file from the forum. The file came over fine. It has a lot of learned codes in it. When hooked to the PC and using test on the various buttons it works perfect. I then download it (doing a complete with all learned codes) but when I do those buttons don't work. I haven't seen this before. Anyone ever run into this?

Had a problem with DCT6412 a couple of times. Quite a bit of time troubleshooting spent, program re loads, different data bases, changed emitters etc........everything worked fine except very hit and miss with DCT6412......all other codes and macros and operation worked.......finally put new battwries in URC.....worked fine after that. (80% of all problems are power supply related.....should have remembered)

Thanks for the tip but these are brand new batteries. I even used the default config from the IR database and it does the same thing. What doesn't make sense is while it's connected I can send test commands from the laptop through the remote and they work fine on the 6412.

You did check the IR Database first, right? The MX950 one has DCT6412 codes, which I've been using successfully.

I have a comcast 6412 at home and I used the cable/comcast/6208 preprogramed codeset. with my 850/mrf300 setup. From time to time I have seen strange things from my remotes but a quick reboot seems to solve the problems.

Well I think I have it working. I had to delete all the Cable box devices and start from scratch and reload from the ir database and that seemed to fix it.

A Comcast installer told me the Motorola 6412 box that Comcast deployes has a modified IR code set from the base 6412 box.
