I have an opportunity to purchase an MX 3000 from an online seller from EBAY. It's brand new...in the box...never been used...he got it 3 months ago. I love everything I've seen and read about this remote, but I want to make sure I'm not potentially purchasing an outdated MX 3000. The online seller is getting back with me tomorrow....what should I be asking him about the MX 3000 he has to sell? I don't want to get stuck with an "old" remote. Are all MX 3000's upgradable? How can you tell the "old" remotes from the new ones?

I need some quick advise before I purchase this remote....what do I need to ask?

Thanks,
Steven

as far as memory goes they are not upgradeable...if you want to find out if its an older model....ask the seller what kind of interface it has to connect to the computer..if it has a 5 pin USB cable then you know that you have a fairly recent model... the older models used a proprietary cable that was smaller then the 5 pin version.....good luck!! Considering that you are pretty much throwing the warranty in the trash... make sure you are not paying more than money you would gladly throw away.

Springs.....The seller says it comes with a full one year warranty. Are you saying that buying on EBAY would void the warranty?

DON'T DO IT.

Buy it from a retailer. Not an "un-official e-tailor"
