I am doing a power on macro on the MX300 with the MRF300. THe Problem is that the stereo receiver gets the power on command only 50% of the time. I am using the pre-programmed codes from the IR Database. I also tried an Alias to that button and the IR Code. I have tried with the IR with the same problems as the RF. I have programmed this remote with the same receiver with no problems. I am trying to control a Denon 886 receiver using the rear IR input. Any ideas would be great.

Did you try learning from the Denon remote(assuming it works)?

If you wouldn't have said the 3000 didn't work with IR, I would have recomended you try an emitter instead of the ir in.

Does the 3000 work ok when on the Denon page, just not in a macro?

As a short term fix, have you considered putting 2 or more "ON" commands in a row.

Added a delay between commands? That and having the sequence go through 2 times fixes a lot of those issues.

The position of the Power On command in the macro could also affect its relaibility. Put it first in the sequence if you're not already doing so or try adding a delay in front of it as Springs mentioned.

If none of the suggestions above help, perhaps you should try to extend the number of times the commands "repeats" by double clicking on that command in the IR Data column. Increase the number os times it repeats and see if it increases your reliability.

Thank you,
Damon DG

I will try increasing the repeats, and putting delay before the power on Command. I jinxed myself, saying I have never had any problems controlling the 886. Now I have two, with two separate problems. Thanks guys, I will let you know how it goes next week.
