Could somebody please explain to me what the "sleep timer" in an MX3000 is/does?
We have a system that keeps shutting itself off randomly...I don't think it has anything to do with their MX3000 but a couple of different programmers have worked on it so anything is possible.
Could "sleep timer" be inadvertently shutting things off?

From the MX-3000 User Manual:
Insert this as the first step of a power off macro.Label the button SLEEP TIMER.Each time the user presses the button, the MX-3000 displays “Go to Sleep in 90 Minutes”,the next press it dis- plays “Go to Sleep in 60 Minutes”,next it displays “Go to Sleep in 30 Minutes”,then “Go to Sleep in 15 Minutes”and finally “Cancel”.Whenever the Sleep Timer runs out,the macro you programmed will be issued (unless the user hits the cancel display).
Don't think this is your problem.

Thats awesome...no, it isn't my problem, but thats a kool feature. And just when I've gotten OUT of the habit of reading the manuals...
