I've been able to learn the codes into the mx3000 but it still won't work.
I get a GOOD signal when learning the codes at freq. 100, but the remote still won't operate the screen. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have the hex codes but don't know how to insert them.

Up - B1 4E 90 6F
Stop - B1 4E 8A 75
Down - B1 4E CA 35

Again, I would be grateful for any help

Darrel,

I had an amazingly hard time trying to learn the codes for an Elite screen. I had to try every trick I know to get all the codes to work. I will try to get the codes into an MX-950 file and send them to you. You could then import them through the universal browser.

I have the codes in an MX-850 at work, I can send them to you. It took me about an hour to get the codes to work. You just need to be real persistent. Now, once you have the codes working, there is keeping them working. Your flasher can only be so far and so close to the receiver, now depending on which IR receiver you use, this will be more difficult. I prefer to use the large IR receiver with the buttons on it. I hide this in a ceiling if it is a drop down or I extend it to the equipment rack, the beauty of extending it is if your remote fails, you can still drop the screen. All you need is a single cat5 to extend the receiver with buttons.

Can you email me a reminder for next week to send you the file. I am on medical leave right now, so my mind isnt the best.

LOL...hehehe

Does a kid playing with battery powered electronic tools count?

Sean, your codes worked great, now having a problem with the rf
on the Scientific Atlantic cable box and the Yamaha RX-V800 reciever.
Tried almost everything, except a different emitter, worked well on a
different cable box, just not sure what to do about the rec'vr.

Thanks Guys

heres a tip, guys...

NEC makes the chassis for pioneer elite, marantz, and mitsubishi (prolly others also)...

try a marantz or mitz plasma code set, and you will get discretes for your elites...

prob solved.

trip, the "elite" we are reffering to is a manufacturer called Elite Screens. They are not a plasma, they are a projection screen manufacturer. But thanks for the input. FYI, Pioneer owns a good portion of NEC, mainly for thier commercial product so I am told by reps.

I installed an Elite screen a couple days ago and found a workaround that I'm pasting below...

I dug out an old One For All brand model 9910 learning remote out of the back of a drawer remembering that instead of just confirming the signal, this thing gives you a "success" or "failed" message when learning from another remote. It took about 30-50 attempts for each of the 3 buttons using various techniques, but I was finally able to learn the up/down/stop buttons into the One For All remote. It was then easy to learn the codes from the One For All to my MX500 (all 3 worked on a single try). The interesting part is what is now being output from my 2 universal remotes is what should have been originally coming from Elite's remote. Not only do these work every time on the screen, they can be learned to any learning remote now.

I have the same problem with the Elite Screen... did you possibly upload the code to this website somewhere?

Thanks,
Allen

Would you consider posting the file needed for controlling the Elite screen? I have been playing with this for hours with no luck.
