Have a question about my MX3000 and IR/RF. If I have a two devices listed (in the programming) and have a button on one of the devices which references a button on the other device, does the RF control follow what I have setup for the second device. For example, Device 1 I have setup as IR/RF, Device 2 I have setup as RF only. If I access the second device from a page of Device 1, does it only send RF or IR/RF? The button on the Device 1 is a reference(alias) to the Device 2 page. Thanks. SJ

The IR/RF assignment follows the device where the command actually exists. Therefore in your case the command you alias actually resides on Device2 which is RF Only the command will be sent out RF only. If you want to send it out IR, you would need another device assigned IR only and place the commands there, then alias them from wherever you want.

The beautiful thing about the MX-3000 is that you can create an IR only device with no ability to directly access the device itself, but you could just alias commands from other pages. making it relatively transparent.
