I helped a friend set up an MX-650 system recently. He has all his den equipment (except the TV) in a closet, so we set the MRF-250 up in the closet - no problems. Now, he is planning on switching from cable to satellite and needs to hide his satellite receiver for the kitchen TV in a kitchen cabinet. Can I put another MRF-250 in the cabinet to control the satellite receiver and TV for the kitchen and still maintain the functionality of the den system? Will I run into problems with having 2 separate satellite receivers on separate RF stations receiving the same commands? I guess that may be a question for the DirecTV forum folks.
Thanks.

You can assign each base station its own ID, as well as each emitter for each component. The remote can control multiple MRFs independently. So, each sat receiver will only see the commands meant for that receiver. Mike www.SurfRemote.com

Just be sure you sent the MRF IDs to anything other than "0". For example, set one to "1" and one to "2". The reason for this is because "0" is an open ID and will accept any incoming RF and disable the port assignments of the flashers. Thanks for the tips, guys.
I've gone ahead and bought a used MX-650 for myself and I'm looking for a deal on an MRF-250. I'll remember to set it to a different channel than my neighbor's!
