Since the Programming manual available for download on URC's web site, is just a copy of the user manual, there is no way to see the programming manual.

I have been messing around with the MX-950 editor, in anticipation of my remote that is on the way, and, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put in sub pages.

The way it works on the 800 is, on the main page, you put in the title (say Tivo) and then double click on that button, and it opens the sub page, where you can enter all the LCD buttons and functions. When doing the same with the 950 software, the sub page does not open, and there is no way to do it. You also can't do it in the button editor, since only the main watch and listen pages show.

There must be a trick I am missing to install sub pages, and would appreciate the help.

I was also wondering, how to change the first main page, to have two columns for devices, or change any of the remaining pages to single column, like the first.

Thanks,
Phil

OK, just found the single column/double column button. Never mind that question. I am still stumped on how to create sub pages under devices though.

The link on the URC site is hosed. Try [Link: universalremote.com]

I think you can do everything you are asking about from the "Create & Name Devices" window. Go to "Program->Create & Name Devices".

Thanks Fletch, I will read through, and see if I can answer my own question.

By the way, I am stil having the problem with the Universal Browser, but discovered that I can open a file, without it crashing. It is just when the file is dragged into the Browser that it crashes. Tried it on another PC and it happens there as well.

Thanks again, for the speedy responses. :)

Free,

Have you tried a Live Update to see if that eliminates the issue of crashing while using the Universal Browser? If you have and it didn't help, please contact URC at: (914) 835-4484 and make sure they are aware of the situation.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Fletch,

Thank you for posting this link! I was going nuts trying to find programming info. Just kept finding the "Owner's Manual" that tells almost nothing about programming the MX950!
