I am wondering how to transfer files from my MX-800 to the MX-950. When I use the universal browser, the MX-950 editor crashes.

Is there a way to change MXF files to MXa files? Why do they have to make them all different? I really don't want to program them all over by hand, it would take weeks.

Thanks,

I just did this and had no problems with the Universal Browser crashing. Dragging all the codes over individually took a bit more time, but it gave me a chance to reconsider all of my design decisions and modify things for the 950 layout (such as the cool dual REW/FF buttons).

Maybe reinstall or try a different PC to get the UB working...

Thanks Fletch, I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the MX950 editor, and it still crashes. I have tried dragging MXF, MXD, and CCF files, but it crashes on all of them. This reminds me of some of the early MX-700 editor software. :(

Yea, I agree that the MX-950 Editor seems...immature. I have it installed on two PCs and some of the bugs I've seen cannot be duplicated on both. In my case, however, the Universal Browser works flawlessly on both MX-800 files and ccf files. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks anyway. :)
I am going to try this on another PC tomorrow, and then contact URC.

If trying it on another PC doesn't work, you may want to redownload the software, as your file may be corrupted. I've never had that problem with the 950 software, even the earlier beta versions.
