I would like to have my MX850 go back to the main page if there hasn't been any activity after 'x' amount of time. Right now, I fiddle with sub-pages at night and forget to return it to the main page. My wife, using it in the morning, then complains that the remote is useless because none of the buttons are there (she can't remember to hit 'main' each time). Thoughts?

Using a macro will make the remote unuseable until the macro has completed. The only ways to do it are...

1) Teach her more about the Main button...it's probaly the most important button on the remote.

2) Put a go to Main - Page 1 command at the end of each macro - but that will cause more problems and inconvenience than anything.

There is no timer on the MX-850 that will do this, but there is on the MX-3000.

Thank you,
Damon DG

forgive me for being ignorant but how do you do that.

Also I have a remote on display at our store and I would like to set a slide show to run when it is on the charger and stop when it is removed and go to the main page.
Is this possible?

For MX-3000, go to Tools>Record Timers to set timers based on a time of day. There are no count-down timers for inactive periods.
Don't think you can program anything special for when the remote is removed from the charger.

Jeslokin, I think that Bart has given you the best advice. Even if you have been playing around with sub-pages last thing at night, surely you finish by pressing the power off hard button?
