I am looking for the IR codes for the Yamaha HTR 5860 to use on the 850. Does anyone have these codes or can recommend an equivalent?

Give the HTR 5760 commands a try.

Also, check the Pronto and MX-700/800 files section of this website for files for this and your other components.

Gerry, did the HTR 5760 work? I also have the 5860 and have been strongly considering the 850.

Thanks

The only codes that really aren't always interchangeable over the last 4 years are the Soundfield descreets. Zones, recall memory etc. haven't changed since after the RX-V1000 5 years ago.

The 5860 is most likely equivelent to the RX-V657. I've got the RX-V1500 in the File Downloads you'll find most of what might need there. (I may not have the Z2 vol on them). You can also get every conceiveable code directly from your remote control (if it is the one with the little LCD window). Go to yamaha.com for the instructs.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..
