I bought my 850 from an authorized dealer for
not much more than what they sell for on Ebay.
And I'm really glad I did because my first 850's
backlight was excessively noisy, so I had to send
it in for warranty repair. URC ended up sending
me a brand new remote.

I'd love to support an authorized dealer, but the cheapest I can find is $389, which is a pretty good premium. If you are willing to share your source, plz email me at allen42_at_hotmail.com (remove the _ marks and replace at with @)

I currently have a mx 500 in my LR to run my tivo, panasonic dvd recorder, and sony stereo. I have a second mx 500 in my bedroom to run similar components. I have a feed going from my LR to my Av computer (another room) where I usually watch TIVO. My bedroom has a feed going to a TV in the backyard (built into a closet facing the backyard with bose 101's built into the overhang). I wanted a remote that had RF capabilities to operate tivo in my computer room and in the tivo and stereo in the backyard.
I purchased a URC RF20 from Circuit City which came with the MRF 100. I didn't like it. Not enough devices. I then bought the mx 850 with the mrf 250. I programmed pg 1 so it is identical to my first MX500 and page 2 matches my second mx 500. I thought I had the perfect solution. I want to use the front blaster and not wires. The 850 works all components but not through the rf. Now the weird thing-It works flawlessly with the mrf 100 but not with the mrf 250. I read many complaints about the 250-is that what is going on here. HELP!
