Glackowitz, what did you do to get the MRF300 to work right? Just a matter of moving the antenna around?

we ended up turning the antenna RF level all the way down, and set the emitter levels to a tad below half, the antenna ended up being mounted on the back of the rack with the antenna just above the top so it was visible.

kinda glad it was the last one we are going to do for a long time
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Macroman,

Yes my MRF-250 is plugged into an surge suppressor. Is that good or bad?

Actually, neither. I have no explanation, but it saved my behind on a HUGE install. I couldnt get the status light on an mrf-250 to vanish so i plugged straight into the wall. Interference gone!!?!?!?
I was baffled so i tested and retested, and sure enough that was it.
Oh yea, i usually place the mrf's at the lowest point of the cabinet or equipment rack, that seems to also help with interference.

When I worked at URC, I would always recommend to avoid plugging the MRF into a surge protector or power strip. For some reason, they seemed to sometimes cause issues with the RF.

Thank you,
Damon DG
