So does anyone have any information about the new KP-100 Keypad, MRF-500 Automation Station, MX-900 Wand Remote or TX-1000 Tablet?
As far as I can figure, the MRF-500 will have RS-232 and power sensing.
The KP-100, will that be an inwall version of the MX-3000 or the MX-700 (like the B&K CK1.2)?
How about Complete Control software and ONE STEP macros?

You know as much as I do. It sounds like some exciting products! I can't waite to try them out.
I think I'll do an e-bay search and see if they are available yet :-(

GREAT IDEA! I did a search on Ebay and this is what I found out.
The KP-100 is a cool Karaoke player!
The MX-900 is a cordless mouse!
and The TX-1000 is a metal pad for Dance, Dance Revolution!!!!
I'm very excited to see how URC will incorporate these products into the rest of their line! ;)

Thats amazing. How do you keep the MX-900 from running away if it doesn't have a cord on him? All my mice have cords especially when they are doing Karaoke on the old style dance pads. This solves the problem of two getting tangled up when they do songs from Hee Haw.
Sounds like some incredible breakthroughs.

The KP-100 will most likely be similar to the B & K. The B & K exclusivity contract probably ran out and now they can brand and sell it as URC. This is purely speculation, of course.
The MX-900 is probably the MX-950, just a typo.
What do you mean by "one step macros"? If you mean that literally, the remotes can do that now in a couple of different ways: macros or shortcuts.

The MX-900 and MX-950 were mentioned in the same sentence, so they are different.
I hope that one step macros mean sending a single code to the base station and then the base station sends out all of the codes in the macro. ie. Like an AMX or Crestron system, where the codes are not stored in the remote but in the processor. This macro system works much better because the remote and base station only have to communicate for a brief second instead of needing constant communication for the entire length of the macro.

Ah, I see what you're saying. That would be awesome, but I haven't heard any talk about a processor to handle the task.
I wonder what the 900 is in the scheme of things and where it fits in.

A processor similar to the RTI RP-6 would be awsome, I have struggled with a few MRF-250's and really pissed me off, I have never had an issue with RTI RF.
The MRF-500 should have Routable IR, Video Sensor inputs, Voltage Sensor inputs, Contact Sensor Inputs, Could use any sensor on any port along with IR, 232 control out as well on any port. A remote mount RF antenna, and have an IR input as well.
The KP better not be anything like a B&K 1.2 as its an after birth mounted on a wall. There is no enter button and if you add one the the LCD screen with numbers you put 1-9 and 0 thats 10 numbers on 10 buttons...where the hell does Enter go??? Oh Yea on page 2...not to cool for a user to rember its there.
They better add an enter button and slim it down.

As I mentioned in the other thread:
"MX-900
Basically an 850 with a single line display like a 350."

FYI... Google'd for MX-950 today and found a picture of the MX-900 Gemini and another remote referred to as the R7. Here's the link: [Link: designdirectory.com]

The 900 looks interesting. It obviously takes most of its design cues from the 950. However, it reduces the LCD configurable button count from 10 to 6, all on the right side. As such, the LCD screen looks to be more narrow. The power buttons are pretty big and have been vertically stacked on the left side of the LCD. They've also added 2 buttons for -Skip and Skip+, taking them off the double duty Back and Ahead buttons that the 950 has. Without more info, I can only guess at a few other details. I don't see a speaker (unless it's on the back or this is just an early mock-up), so I would guess that the audible functions of the 950 and 3000 are absent. I would also guess that the LCD is monochromatic. The unknowns are variable support, device quantity support, text hiding ability and graphics support (if the screen is indeed one of their standard monchrome ones, then probably no). Hopefully we'll find out more at CEDIA. Jeff
