OK, I have had this for a while now. It's starting to get a little grungy. I was wondering if I could open it up and take the parts out and clean the casing in soap and water? My warranty is already up. Anyone done this?

THanks,
D

Well you prolly COULD do that, but why not go over it with a paper towel sprayed with Windex?

Craig's suggestion is probably best. Just be sure the rag is damp and that you will not get excess fluid in the remote.

Thank you,

I need to disassemble a MX-350, the unit is only about 3 weeks old and the kids of this client has already chewed off a button and spilty something sticky in it. I need to open it up to clean the keypad off glue the button back in. Any ideas on taking these apart, I know that they are just snap together, but any hints to [revent using the ol'knife in the side to pry it open?
Regards,

Yeti,
If the MX-350 comes apart like the MX-500 see this:

But you might be better off calling URC for repair (914) 835-4484.

Thanks. I use this technique to crack open my 3-week-old MX-850. Sooner or later, I'm going to spill something on it, and I'll need to clean it out.
