Is Mike Gifford really an HTM employee? This guy has been posting information in this forum for months and I don't believe he's ever once reported something that has turned out to be true. In fact, whenever he does pop with a the latest "official" release date of the MX-1000 being only a couple of weeks away, I cringe because I now know for sure that another big delay is coming. He latest post in another thread that the software will only function as backup to the installed firmware doesn't sound right at all. I don't think we should pay him heed anymore.

I can assure you Mike Gifford is an actual Universal Remote Control Inc. employee. However Mike is in technical support, so I assume the best he can do -- and is doing -- is relay the information he is told.

It sounds that Mike is trying his best in difficult situation. I'm willing to bet that Mike will be the happiest of us all when this thing ships, and that he had nothing to do with its delay. We should be thanking him for keeping us in touch.
On the other hand, let's have a discussion about Universal Remote Control's management. This is a company in serious need of adult supervision.
