I just ordered a new Sony Grand Wega tv (the 55") and a Denon 2805 reciever. I don't have them yet, but I'm preparing. I dowloaded pics of the remotes, and the Denon seems to have a shift key. In normal mode, the buttons are the standard 0 to 9, but to get the secondary function (choosing VCR, DVD, etc) you have to push a shift button first. Does anyone have discrete codes for the input devices, or do I have to write macros for everything?

I have an MX-700 remote.

First, there are a LOT of Denon files in the RC files area. I'm sure you can find what you need. Second, I don't think it's a problem anyway. I believe that the shift button on Denon remotes doesn't actually send out any codes - it just changes which code the remote sends when you press the next button.

There's no 2805, but maybe the 3805 will work. The only difference is the 3805 has a Zone 3.

Most functions from the 3805 code have worked for me when programming for a 2805. There is also a shift command with that code. Any function that wasn't in the preprogrammed code was easily learned. I'm sure it will work well for you.

Thank you,
