I have done 2 Mx3000 for the company I work for, basic type setups some macros and personal buttons. But I can't figure out how to create new backgrounds and buttons from personal pictures and internet downloads. When I learned how to do it with phillips and marantz we stopped selling them. Now I have a costumer who I would like to do some costum backgrounds and such for. I have an image editor type program I just need to know what are the pixel and color setting mins. and max for the remote. Hopefully soon the guys I work for will actually send me to some training, but until then I'm on my own. Thanks in advance for any help.

To cover the entire screen, backgrounds should be 320 X 240 pixels. Just improt it in place of the default one, or, with a blank screen, add it as a button.

Actually the DPI doesn't matter. If it's 320 x 240, it fits on the 320 by 240 display no matter what the DPI is.

You'll get the best image quality if you downsample 24-bit images to 16-bit (65K colors) before you save them, because while the processor supports 24-bit color space, the display itself has to posterize down to 16-bit. Downsampling will dither in 16-bit color space, preventing banding in gradients.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
