I know there is a thread on the MX 500 about the difficulty of using the center enter joystick pad, but it seems to be a couple of years old. I have an MX 600 and the "enter" center joystick button is a hassle to press and not rock to one of the up/down/right/left positions. I saw the "rubber band fix" for the 500 and sort of remember a "open it and use a piece of cardboard under the center" fix, but cannot find the post or find any way of opening the remote (voiding warrentee).

Any suggestions. My MX 500 and 600 are the new gemstone models and only a couple of months old(since purchase) so aren't an "old style". Any help will be appreciated.

Bill,

Something like this will probably need to be sent to URC for repair. Typically the rubber keypad will be replaced to fix this type of issue. Give them a call and see what they can do. You can reach them at: (914) 835-4484.

Thank you,
Damon DG
