My tivo remote died before I could learn the codes to the MX-800. Can somone please point me in the direction of where I can find codes for this. Best Buy wont replace it cause they say it got water damaged. Well it was more like an "8 month old baby grll slobber" damage. I am stuck they want me to pay $65 for a reote replacement.

All help would really be appreciated. Thank you.

For under $20 you get yourself a OFA remote like the URC-6131, using SETUP code DVD0503, see this thread.

Thank you I will use that as a last resort. Seeing as I want to end up with using the MX-800 to controll it. But If I cant find the codes for I will purchase that remote and programm it and then learn it back to the mx-800.

I have a SD-H400 remote, and no SD-H400, it was used to come up with those advanced codes in the link. You can have it for what I paid for $30, that includes shipping.

You don't need to learn Tivo Series 2 commands to the MX-800, it's in the IR database under DVR - Tivo. The code is DVR 117. Let me know if this helps.

Thank you,

Toshiba SD-H400 doesn't use the standard tivo code, it uses the toshiba DVD code, with extra commands for tivo functions.
