The new "Complete Control" series of remotes (MX-350, 650, 850, 950 and 3000) are now on the HTM website here.

With such examples as the MX-950 and the MRF-300 coming out, they're really rounding out their line for custom installations quite nicely. The MX-1500 was shelved, but I think these are far better choices to evolve with.

I think I know a couple people that will be disappointed at this one! :-)

Daniel,

Yeah, Joe (keeper of the code library) was one of them. Can't say I am though - quite the contrary. ;) haha

What is the true name for the MX-850? I realize that what the HTM website has is the "official" name (Aureus), but I could have sworn that the 850 was going by the Orion moniker....

At the present time, the 850, the box it comes in and the manual it comes with all say "Orion". Looks like they may be changing that.

The web site could have a typo. It's being called Orion, according to the printed materials and the print on the remote itself. I suppose that it could change though.

It should be noted that UEI also introduced a remote called the "Orion" at CEDIA.

Daniel,

Ah! Ok, that explains it. Chances are Home Theater Master will be changing the name, in light of the situation. Thanks for the info.

The good news is the software link for the 950 points to the 850, so I hope there is a level of compatibility hinted at. Bad news: May 2005 for stated release.

The programming ability of the 950 will be similar to the MX-3000, so there should be the same compatibility with .mxf files.
