Hi

How do you copy and paste a macro? I'd like to "punch through" the master power on and off commands to all modes by copy and pasting those macros?

thx

If you're talking about an MX-700, 800 or 850, highlight the button with the macro on it, then use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V to copy and paste it somewhere else. However, you might be better served to just use shortcuts to the macro from each location so if you ever change the macro, you wont have to change it on every other page.

Mike, have you ever had people complain about not being able to short cut to a macro? If so, what would be the reason?

Highlight the button you want to program, then on the "Edit and Label Buttons" window, select the device and IR code (in this case a macro) that you want to apply to that button. Then click "Save".

I have heard of some problems with shortcuts to macros, but haven't had any problems with the ones I've used.

Problem I have is that "MACRO" doesn't show up as a device unless it's already a macro!

A shortcut connects a button to an existing command or macro, so it has to be programmed somewhere else first.
