Right now, we are in the process of printing the operating manual for the MX-1000. We expect to start shipping them by the first week of September.

Oh! Tigger, my Tigger!

This whole thing has been an annoyance for all of us. I don't think anyone knows the real story, and Daniel, much to his credit, does not engage in judgments and cheap shots.

I suppose it'll be here when it's here, and not a moment before. Gee, maybe HTM should offer us all shirts like the Sony 2100 just for waiting this long!:^)

Better yet, beta copies to help spread the word ...

Right now I am more interested in hearing what Daniel has to say. If he has any negitive things to say about it now I would rather just forget about it and buy a Pronto. Hopefully he isn't waiting to receive the software to give it an initial review.

Well, if Daniel is waiting a few more days for the software, I personally am glad. The software can make a huge difference in the decision whether to buy the MX-1000 versus the Pronto. Yes, I hope that he would only wait a few days, but if he either has the software in hand, or knows he will have it shortly, I'd rather wait. I wouldn't want a negative comment on the remote that would change when the software arrives push me to buy another remote only to find out I wish I hadn't!

And you know (and appreciate), Daniel's keen desire to have his reviews accurate, objective and comprehensive, so this guy is grabbing a bit more patience and waiting a bit longer. But, as always, that's.....

.....just my 2-bits!!! - Greg :-)

I'm actually well into completing the review so far without the software. Even if I end up finishing it before the software is out, I will update when it is.

However, in trying EVERYTHING out described in the [mostly unfinished] manual I was sent, I accidentally erased the entire program on the remote. Doh! The manual made it sound like it was used to reset the remote (something I needed to do after messing everything up testing), not DELETE the remote. So, I may be seeing the PC software earlier than expected... though they may not want me to write about it until it is finished.
