Does anyone have an original B&K (AVR507 or 505) .mxf file? I need to swap a B&K unit and I need to set the remote I have back to it's default before returning it. Unfortunately, the backup I made was corrupt and I couldn't use it to restore.

Thanks,
Scott

shorton,

Go to B&Ks website. Click on "support", then click on "software". You can choose whatever version you want. Hope this helped.

Hi Mark:

No, it's not there. The "versions" listed are manual additions for the receiver programming software. The remote software is there which has the programmer executable, but not the original file as far as I can tell. The remote original mxf file is not on their CD that came with the remote either.

Have you done it, or were you assuming the remote file was there?

Anyone?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

I just downloaded what looks to be "B&K Editor for SR10.1 - demo.mxf". Are you exchanging the unit through B&K? Or are you swapping it through a retailer. Either way, once you purchased the unit, it was yours to program the way you wanted. Heck, DL MX800 editor to it. That's what I did with the one at my store so I could program it the way I wanted it for demos. Did the people you purchased the unit from tell you that you had to have the remote set back that way? I would think B&K wouldn't care, and a store could just get a new CD for it. Now that I think of it, maybe I already had it on my computer from when I used the one from the store. I could email it to you if you want. Let me know.

Mark

I figured it out. It was one of those feel stupid once figured. I simply chose new from the file menu and that provided the complete defaults that were on the remote to start. DOwnloaded that to the remote and DOH!, it was done.
