shnakz69,

I agree that the skin could use some serious help, but hey. Im an engineer, program as a hobby, and am far from graphically inclined ;) So it served its purpose.

You will be happy to know that Dale Crawford (posts here as Darnitol) was kind enough to donate his time, skills, and expertise in the graphic department. In the very near future there will be a new skin available for DMX in a broad range of color selections. Screen shots of the red colored skin can be seen [HERE].

I would like to thank Dale for his contribution to DMX-3000.

triple B, I am just lusting to get that DMX CD function for my MX-3000!

I know that you are pursuing another project, but I think you will find a LOT of buyers for the CD system!

SamHam,

I assure you, I will make it available as quickly as I possibly can. I should be able to start work on updating DMX-3000 in the coming weeks. Hopefully if all goes well we will see a CD release soon after that. Hang in there, I am working as fast as I can ;)

Hey, no problem Bracken! As you know, I created the red DMX skin to match my personal MX3000 template. DMX-3000 has transformed my DVD changer from effectively being a box of DVDs in the attic to being a 24-hour movie channel that only shows my favorite movies. The least I could do was give a little back!

I hope everyone enjoys the new skin in all five colors as soon as you release it.

Thanks,
Dale

No kidding!!! This is the best home theater purchase I have made -- a Sony DVD changer and DMX-3000. A one weekend project and now my life feels organized. No more clutter of dozens and dozens of DVD all over the house. And when it's time to play them, I actually know where they are. High value, for sure . . .

Will the skin be available as a template or will it just be for the DMX-3000?

TripleB,

Can I upgrade from my existing Profiler version 2.4.0 to Beta 2.5.0 or will this screw up my DMX compatibility?

I cant guarantee DMX to work properly with any beta release of either DVD Profiler or the MX-Editor. However in DP2.5 you shouldnt have a problem as long as you are aware of the [ISSUES]

If you do upgrade to the beta release, please let me know if you find any other problems. I may have missed something or not even see the same problems with my existing movie collection.

The full template will be available completely FREE. When Dale came to me asking for pointers on how DMX-3000 could handle skins, we agreed on making the entire Gravity template available to match the DMX skin. Once all necessary updates are finished, I will release all 5 colors of the DMX skin along with the full Gravity Template at www.triplebsoftware.com.

Keep in mind that although the DMX skin is available in 5 colors, currently the Gravity template is only available in Red. Dale has said that he will make the remaining 4 colors available as time allows.

Best Regards,
-3B

I have a Sony DVP-CX995V on order and have downloaded DMX-3000 and DVD Profiler to start building my DVD data base. Eagerly awaiting the CD version.

Really EASY software to use--great development job! It was a real thrill to se thiose first album cover pics on the MX-3000. My techno-phobe wife already LIKED the MX-3000, now she LOVES it

To save time, I'm looking for a template for the 995V. The Forum files section has files for the 985V, but not the 995.

I'm sure that there must be many 995 users on the Forum. If you will share your work, please email me; my address in my profile is good.

THANKS!

The 995 uses the same code set as the 985.

Thanks.

The ID database also has 995 codes for all three command modes, including power discretes.

I'd still like to get a button termplate desigbed for the 995, tho it must be pretty close to those for 985.
