Just received my Sony BDP-CX7000ES 400 disc blu-ray mega-changer yesterday, and have started to look at it. Has anyone had any success in controlling this changer using DMX?

First thoughts, pressing the "Rental Slot" button should bring it to position 1, thereafter it should be a question of pressing "Disc Skip" the right number of times? Primitive, yes, incovenient (aim and wait), yes, but does it work and is it possible to automate?

Christopher

The Sony Blu-ray changers to do not offer direct disc selection via a predetermined sequence of IR codes. That being said, the 7000ES does offer direct disc selection via RS-232 and presumably IP. I don't own any URC products myself, but would imagine that if you added the MSC-400 to the mix for RS-232 control you'd just have to update the DMX-3000 activity accordingly to send RS-232 commands per selecting a given changer slot versus IR.

I have made a minor update to DMX to support the recently released DVD Profiler 3.7. It appears to work fine in the short testing I did here on my collection but as always please let me know if you find something that isnt working as expected.

Best Regards,

Hello! I recently got a new computer and need to get a new registration key. I've tried emailing but suspect an over-zealous spam filter is blocking replies.

I do know that Bracken lives near Memphis, Tennessee, in an area that has been hit with massive thunderstorms, tornadoes, and flooding over and over again in the last six weeks or so. His nature is to get out and help his neighbors, so I suspect he's had his hands full in his community lately. I see him on IM from time to time though, so I'll let him know you're looking for him.

Best regards,
Dale

Dale brought your request to my attention. My apologies for not checking the forum lately. I dont have any emails from you but I clear my junk folder about once a week and could have missed it. I sent you an email asking for your current SoftwareID, please reply to that, I will then update and return your registration information.

Has anyone heard from Bracken? I've tried a couple of different e-mail addresses to contact him about some issues I'm having with the DMX-3000 software, but it's been over a week since the last one and no reply.

Thanks,
Don

I'm hoping Bracken or someone he knows can help. I bought a copy of DMX-3000 several days ago (my second copy) and have not gotten any response with the activation key. I realize that customer support is not profitable, he's got my money and I still can't use his product.

I received an email from PayPal stating that my order for DMX-3000 had been refunded.

This has me really confused. Why would someone refund a purchase rather
than sending the activation code?

Apparently I am an unwanted customer, for some reason. Does anyone have
any idea what's going on? Darnitol? Bracken? Anyone?

Charles,

Please check your email, I have sent it numerous times and just this morning tried again from a different personal email account.

You certainly are not unwanted, but repurchasing the software is not necessary since you already owned a copy. I refunded the double purchase thats all.

Bracken,

Thanks for solving my problem. Sending the email through a
different account was the solution. I am now up and running
and a 'happy camper'. Sorry about the problem with your
other account. I hope no other users were affected.

Computers and the Internet seem to be best friends and
worst enemies depending on the weather.

Im glad you are up and running again.

I apologize to everyone for not staying on top of DVD Profiler updates, I am just now becoming aware of the 3.8 update. I will work on releasing an update to DMX with the hopes of having it available before the end of the weekend.
