I have a MX-700 and just got a Denon AVR-1705 (successor to AVR-1604) reciever.
I have learned all the relevant codes into the MX-700 without many problems... however I have problems learning vol +/- properly. The remote learn the codes fine but I have to repeately tap the vol +/- button to turn volume up/down instead of holding the button down... this is annoying.
I'v tried both the press-and-hold and tap methods numerous times without any luck.
Is there a way to solve this ?
Also, are there any IR database or discrete codes for this reciever which I can import into MX Editor ?
(originally posted in wrong forum group, sorry)

You could try the 1804 preprogrammed codes. They're probably the same. I've never had a problem learning the volume commands with other Denons by pressing down the button on the Denon remote until "GOOD" appeared on the screen, but it sounds like that didn't work for you.

I've found a solution which I can live with... at least for now :)
I tried the "flutter" method - repeately tapping the vol+/- button, this seems to work better and I can now hold down the vol buttons on MX-700 to turn volume up/down. But still not the same speed as the original AVR-1705 remote... strange !
I tried the AVR-1804 codes fron the IR database, but they doesn't work.
