Just downloaded MXOP v1.91.0 from the hometheatermaster website. I am now able to download to my MX1000.

Thanks for the news. I see it just came out today. Hopefully this will solve the upload/download problems.

Well my enthusiasm may have been a bit premature.

I was able to download from a different pc than I was trying yesterday. The successful one was a Dell Pentium II 450 running Windows 95. It was quite a relief when it successfully downloaded the default program to my "EMPTY" MX1000. I just unplugged my modem from comm 2, plugged in the cable and it worked first time (and everytime).

The Dell 466 pentium Celeron laptop running Windows 98 was the one that I was having trouble with at first. I uninstalled v1.40.1 and installed v1.91.0 and tried to upload. I uploaded a partially modified program and learned instruction set to my laptop - success. I then tried to download the same program - NO SUCCESS - an empty remote again!

I also installed the software on my P200 MMX but it wouldn't start up with some ActiveX problem.

Bottom line is that this seems to be computer dependant. It sure would be nice to know what the hardware/software requirements so that we could have some starting point.

I see the desired "Snap to Grid" feature Daniel mentioned in his review has been added, as well as a serial port setting option.
