I am able to capture the dimmer setting rocker signals from the lutron "spacer" remote but not the "tap touch" button signals to my sl 9000. Is it possible or not? If so, whats the secret?

I have been using the Sl-9000 and the spacer for some time and was successful in learning the "tap touch" button as well the dimmer function. It has been several months since I did the programing. I do remenber having some difficulty, but not the details. I seem to vagely remember having to move the two remotes further apart, but that could have been some other device. Keep trying, it WILL work, and one of the most cost effective and useful additions I have made to my HT.
