Seems I recall this announced last fall, then it was delayed. And delayed. And delayed. Is this vaporware?

Okay - May is here on Monday. Let's hope I can put that Sl9000 away soon and start tinkering with a new MX-1000.

I'll try them on Monday to check if they have a final date yet.

Daniel,
Maybe when you talk to them, plead the case that they please give everyone a REALISTIC date this time around. If it's 6 months from now, so be it. Just give us a better date instead of this obvious stringing along with "next month"...

Just saw over on hometheaterremote.com that the release has been pushed to end of May (what a shock). They're offering the remote & shipping at $225 and taking preorders. Seems like a good deal...

I wanted this thing in October, 1999, and I still do (i'll wait to see if the the reviews on here are any good), but I'm beginning to think we're going to be driving Jetsons' briefcase cars before it comes out! What does end of May mean? I for one bet it means July.

I was going to pre-order but got a funny feeling when I noticed the manufacturer doesn't have any new information about the delay in release or even a photo of the color change they implimented. Even some of the retailers have the new photo up. What is this company's problem?

Daniel,

Did you find out the release date of the MX-1000??? You stated that you would call them to check for the final release date. I have waited two weeks for this result.

Thanks,

TJ

I just called and was also told June, no specific date yet. They did say that they were working out the bugs in the software and are now satisfied. They also said they will be updating thier website with more info.

We are very confident that June will be the time for the release of the MX-1000. We are satisfied with the software as it is and will offer downloadable upgrades through our website (UNIVERSAL-REMOTE.COM) through the RS232 serial port which is included with the remote control not too long thereafter.
