I figure there should be a fair amount of knowledge out there on how to take care of your touch screen. On my Palm, I use the stylus and have a protective cover. But on this remote, I'm likely to use my fingers.

So how to people take care of the screen? Daniel, given all the Pronto users out there, have you heard of any great words of wisdom?

Almost all the vendors say the same thing, water on a damp cloth or mild detergent. As it is a membrane over glass I would stick with warm water and would not risk detergent.

A soft dry cloth -- such as flannel -- should be all that's needed to remove fingerprints. Beyond that, a slightly damp cloth... I'd stay away from any and all chemicals.

What about avoiding scratches? Any tips there?

And also, in your review you mentioned that you found the screen very sensitive. I've found that just tapping doesn't work for me. I actually have to press a bit harder than just firmly resting my finger on a button. Is that unusual?

Peter -- have you checked the screen's calibration? To test, use something like a stylus or closed pen tip and see if it's sensing the buttons where they should be. Sometimes if the calibration is off it takes a "harder" press (so that a different region of screen is sensed).
