I've ever used a universal remote.

How does something like the mx1000 cope with on screen (on tv) menus for DVDs, AV receiever setup? e.g my Nad T770 configuration screen is superimposed on the TV. I guess I just configure a standard enter key and direction keys?

I imagine you would just program the joystick as arrow keys and enter/select. That's what I plan to do for DVD menus, TiVo menus, etc.
