Has ANYONE been able to download from the MX-1000 software to the remote and kept their button names?? I have had small fonts with two words on buttons 7 thru 12 on the main screen and the words show up on the screen, but then are overwritten by the buttons. All subsequent screens on any device has the same effect. So I've got a bunch of blank buttons. Anybody else had this????

It actually works fine here -- the file shows up 100% as it should. Are you sure you added the name to the button, rather than using the "T"ext tool?

If you do not use "T" to enter the text. Then how do you add a name to a new button?

"T" is only used to add text to the background -- not a button. To add text to a button select the button, right-click then choose "Text Writing". You're allowed two lines of text that will be assigned to the button. The font size "S" and "L" still apply. Be careful about putting text on top of text -- several undesirable things can happen.

I will give that a try and let you know. Thank you very much Daniel

I *have* noticed that the order of things is slightly changed when you download to the remote -- so the software is more WYSINWYG (what you see is nearly what you get).

Thanks Daniel. I indeed was adding text to the buttons incorrectly. Using right-click, and then "Text Writing" worked. I was adding text behind a button, therefore the button was covering my text. Thanks alot!

I, apparently, used Text Tool instead of changing button text as well, but if I don't use Text Tool, how do I get two lines?
Also, what is Text Tool for? Simply writing text on the screen?

As Daniel mentioned above, use "Text Writing" to input a line of text, then repeat the process for your second line.

You can use the text tool for non button-related text but beware there is no way (I have found) to delete or modify it once you download it to the remote.

Which should be OK, since editing on the PC is a heck of a lot easier. :-) If you must edit on the remote, you can assign a second line to a button that only needs one, and move the text anywhere else on the screen.
