I'm about to program my MX-1000 to handle my 2 Tivos (Philips standalone and DirecTivo) and DirecTV receiver (Sony). Any tips on programming codes, best device template to start with, programming hard buttons/joystick, etc.? Thanks in advance.

I use the built-in SAT configuration for my DirecTV (it's a Sony a50) and it works fine.

FOr Tivo, I learned all of the joystick commands from the remote and made select "press" on the joystick. I learned play, ff, rew, and stop (pause), and I learned "prev ch" as "jump back 8 seconds, jack!" I then made a single screen with tivo, guide, thumbs up & down, clear, end, and enter. It works fine; the only flaw is I have to change screens to enter numbers.

I'm eager to see what others come up with.

Ron
